MYM.Fans and OnlyFans are two sites that allow you to monetize your photos and videos as a model. They are perfect platforms for all influencers who already have a community on social networks and want to earn money by sharing exclusive content with their fans.

OnlyFans has been in existence for several years. It is an English site created in London, which includes a very large number of models. There are also many more visitors, even if MYM is starting to gain popularity.

MYM is French, which makes it possible to target the French-speaking public more effectively. There are fewer visitors, it is true, but there is also much less competition for the models. So it's much easier to get started on MYM when you're French or French-speaking, especially if you don't have a really good command of English.

Even when you're just starting out, it's quite easy to find yourself among the stars of MYM, whereas it's almost impossible on OnlyFans, unless you already have millions of subscribers on Instagram. If you are French-speaking, if you have a small Insta, Snap or Facebook community, between 500 and 100 000 followers, then MYM.Fans is in my opinion a much better solution.

Both platforms operate via subscriptions. Your fans will pay, on a monthly or yearly basis, to access all of your exclusive content.

OnlyFans allows a little more freedom on subscriptions. You can really set the price as you wish, $4, $6, $10, $20, etc. There's even the possibility to do promotions from time to time, which you can quickly grasp, which may make it easier for some fans to take annual subscriptions.

MYM is a bit stricter, since there are only 3 possible subscriptions, €9.99, €19.99 or €49.99. Same for annual subscriptions, there are only 3 possibilities. In reality, it doesn't really matter, since the prices are finally quite similar from one model to another on OnlyFans too.

The great strength of MYM is the private media. Everybody, whether it is your subscribers or punctual visitors who do not have a subscription, can propose you to realize a private media just for them. It can be a simple photo or a very complete video.

The price is totally negotiable. For example, you can ask 10 € only for a photo with a message like "Happy Birthday Bernard" or you can shoot a complete clip for several thousand euros, to advertise a product or to realize the delirium of one of your fans.

If there is no private media on OnlyFans, there is an interesting live feature. Subscribers can access it through their subscription, or you can decide to do a paid live. Visitors who are not subscribers can simply pay to access the live.

It's never really private, since all subscribers and visitors access the live. As a result, even if it's much less crowded than a Facebook or Instagram live, it's still complicated for fans to communicate with the model.

That said, for those who don't have a lot of subscribers, it's still a privileged moment for the fans. The live shows are appreciated, because there can be surprises, unexpected moments, for the subscribers and for the model.

MYM is clearly simpler and more intuitive to use than Only Fans, both for models and subscribers. One thing that's not encouraging about Only Fans is that visitors are required to leave their bank details to access the free content...

On MYM, you just have to create an account quickly, with an email address, and you can already discover the templates pages. So you can post some non-flouted photos and videos, to give a taste of what you offer. In my opinion, this is the best way to attract new subscribers easily when you are not a superstar.

OnlyFans is slightly more generous than MYM.Fans, as they keep 20% of the subscription amount, compared to 25% at MYM. The live shows are also 20% commission at OnlyFans and it's also 20% for private media.

In the end, it's quite similar. When we start, it will be much easier to get subscriptions on MYM so we'll be a winner most of the time. I think that the more models there are on MYM, the lower the commission will be, but it's better to be in the first ones, have more subscribers and pay a few euros more commission, than to struggle to get subscriptions.

Both platforms are effective in making money on the internet and in transforming the communities of our usual social networks into a real gold mine. However, for francophones, MYM seems to me to be a better solution to make money quickly.
